As professional pilots in historical, political, economic and cultural goods traffic they preserve today’s Bulgaria in a time capsule. Linking the old cultural practice of travelling with the contemporary medium of the DVD ROM they take us from the Thracian plains through the Rhodopes down to the Black Sea. It is a diary as exciting as a novel; a road movie with 550 photographs, 90 short films, 7 short sound samples and one ’sound film’ that capture the ambient sound of Bulgaria melded together to form a floating narrative about the speed limits of everyday life and the dynamics of the commonplace

Als professionelle Pilot/innen im historischen, politischen, ökonomischen und kulturellen Güterverkehr verwahren sie das Bulgarien von heute in einer Zeitkapsel. Die alte Kulturtechnik des Reisens verknüpfen sie mit dem aktuellen Medium DVD-ROM und führen uns von der Thrakischen Tiefebene überdie Rhodopen bis ans Schwarze Meer: ein Tagebuch, spannend wie ein Roman, ein Road Movie mit 550 Fotografien, 90 kurzen Filmen,7 kleinen Hörproben und einem Hörfilm vom Ambient Sound Bulgariens verbinden sich zu einer schwebenden Erzählung über die Tempolimits des Alltags und die Dynamik des Alltäglichen.

Съчетавайки старата културна практика на пътуването със съвременната технология на DVD ROM, те ни отвеждат от Тракийската низина през Родопите надолу до Черно море. Това е пътеписен дневник, вълнуващ като роман; пътешественически филм с 550 снимки, 90 къси филма, 7 кратки звукови илюстрации и един ‘аудио филм‘, уловил местните звуци на България, слети в един плавен разказ за скоростните ограничения на всекидневието и динамиката на баналността.

Logbook 2006 | 2007: A Bulgarian Journey is an account of two journeys

which took place, as the title says, in 2006 and 2007, a little over a month in all. We were tourists in Bulgaria but also guests in the territory in which EVN is the concern responsible for supplying energy to the consumer. Roughly speaking our trip was in an area that lies in the heart of Bulgaria south of the Balkan Mountains. It begins east of Sofia and extends as far as the Black sea coast. In the south it runs down to the borders of Greece and Turkey. Thus it covers most of the area delineated by the provinces of Plovdiv, Haskovo and Burgas.

Wir waren Tourist/innen in Bulgarien, aber auch Gäste in jenem Gebiet, in dem der EVN Konzern Konsument/innen mit Energie versorgt. Wir bereisten in etwa das Gebiet im Herzen Bulgariens, südlich des Balkangebirges. Es beginnt östlich von Sofia und zieht sich bis zur Küste des Schwarzen Meeres hin. Südlich reicht es bis an die Grenzen Griechenlands und der Türkei. Es bedeckt den Großteil der Provinzen Plodiv, Haskovo und Burgas.

Пътепис 2006 / 2007: Пътуване из България е разказ, проследяващ две пътувания, направени,

според заглавието, през 2006 и 2007 г. и продължили общо малко повече от месец. Освен туристи, в България бяхме и гости на областите, които концернът EVN снабдява с електроенергия. Казано по-общо, пътуването обхвана района, разположен в самото сърце на страната на юг от Стара планина. Началото му е източно от София, краят му стига Черноморското крайбрежие, а на юг граничи с Гърция и Турция и покрива по-голямата част от териториите на Пловдивска, Хасковска и Бургаска област.
